Sophie was a prominent figure in the event, interacting with others and participating in the Traitor votes when able to, though was unable to track down any of the Traitors by the end of the event, resulting in a bad end. Thus, when she received a letter claiming to be Simon, alive and well, Sophie travels to Silent Hill in order to investigate.
It is presumed that Sophie is taken from some time after the third ending of Cry of Fear, or events reminiscent of it, in which she survives the events of the game while Simon dies. Simon started to develop feelings for Sophie at some point. She was Simon Henriksson's sole friend in school, and although the circumstances behind their meeting were never addressed, it is heavily implied that Sophie was bullied, which caused her to bond with Simon over their shared trauma. Sophie is a minor character from Cry of Fear.
